Can we do something? How about go to the forest? You like going to the forest. We can even bring the hatchling. Please AraMine!
Looking over at Avirith as she finished brushing through Jarali's hair, Ara finally nodded in agreement, hoisting the two turn old onto her hip and cuddling her close. This had been her life for a while now; wake up, eat for herself and feed her child, play with her child, bathe everyone, play again, feed again, make sure there was a nap, report occasionally for drills...she needed a way out. It was just so hard, and the thought of letting Jara go with anyone for any length of time tore at the young mother.
Sighing, the greenrider kissed the top of the child's head as she yawned sleepily, green eyes flicking over to where her trio of firelizards were waking from their nap. Aries was first, the older gold nudging awake the two younger flits. Up, up, it was time to go. Bayi trilled, the blue picking up a doll Jarali had left on the bed, Stella picking up a second one that had been dropped on the floor earlier. The trip to getting the straps onto the dragoness and then down to the forest was a mundane one, one that Alyara did mutely and without much thought.
It was so simple, so easy now to just keep going. Yawning, the greenrider settled in the seat as they landed, pulling Jarali to her chest and front to keep her from getting too jarred by the drop. It's nice and cool out, not too hot. Yes, it is a nice day. Walk there please, if you can. She pointed out a spot mentally that they would go to sometimes, and as the green lumbered through Ara let her mind wander, a hand absentmindedly caressing her daughter's hair as the green-blue eyes looked around wide-eyed and with a childish amazement. "Momma..play?"
The words were a quiet chirp, filled with wonder and knowing hope, and as the greenrider nodded her head and slid down the neck of her lifemate, she reached up to grab onto her daughter as well. "Of course. You can play here as much as you'd like." Giggling, the girl jumped the ground from her mother's arms, racing around with arms extended, stumbling now and again only to be righted by a firelizard flying not far behind. Come here Mine, rest and I will watch her. It's okay Avirith, I'm not that tired.
The green only looked at her rider for a long moment before snorting and shrugging her wings, the flick of her tail her only response.
