Name:
Naomi
Pronunciation:
Nay - O - Me
Age:
27 Turns
Season Born In:
Fall
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Appearance:
Naomi is 5'4" and weighs 127 pounds. She has long brown hair that she usually keeps tied back in a bun, though; more often than not there are some stray clumps of hair that stick out. She keeps a few strands of hair loose on each side of her neck, and she makes sure to keep her bangs short enough so that they don't get in her eyes. Her eyes are light, smoky grey; her eyes seem to pierce anyone, and anything, that she looked at. Naomi looks, not only very thin, and lithe, but delicate, and extremely feminine. She is actually very strong, and fast, despite her delicate appearance. Naomi always wears black gloves that have the fingers cut off and strong leather boots. Her shirts are normally dark colors, with spaghetti straps, and a mesh section that makes up the color of the shirt.
Naomi will usually wear shorts, but will sometimes wear pants. Her shorts are light, strong leather, and all her shorts and pants fit her loosely. At least, that’s what she had been wearing before she impressed. Now she lets her hair fall around her shoulders, and typically wears a light cloth t-shirt, with a leather jacket over it, along with strong leather pants and boots. She seems to have grown quite a bit since Nask had chosen her as his handler, and definitely looks a lot more mature. Thanks to her playful wher she has, she has become a lot nicer, and it shows in the softer expressions she now wears on her face. Everything about her seems to have become a lot more gentle, and relaxed. But there is an air of strength, seriousness, and even a hint of danger that hangs around her like a thick cloak.
Personality:
Naomi is a little stand-offish with just about everyone. Though, for those extreme few that get to know her, she is a very kind, and loving soul with a wild side. She has no problem with blood, and some people think she's a little strange for that fact, but she just believes that one has to have a strong stomach, and have to know how to disassociate themselves when one hunts, and kills for a living. Naomi is a very proud nineteen turn old, and has no shortage of confidence. This means she believes she can do anything. One of her favorite sayings is, "A person can do anything they set their mind to." a saying she was taught by her father. She loves all animals, but has no problem being firm with them when it is needed. She is a very patient person when it comes to teaching people about what she does, as long as they don't get on her nerves that is.
Naomi does have a temper though, and can be very violent when provoked. Though, she has learned how to control her temper, at least, mostly. She can still be a force to be reckoned with when upset. She is very persistent, and will practically never give up. Though, if one method doesn't work, she backs off, and tries to find another way that will. Some have called her cold, and calculating, others have said that she is evil and cunning. Naomi can be these things at times, but that's just her nature. After all, a person has to learn how to think on their feet when their part of a family of hunters. She can actually be a very sweet, fun-loving girl who just needs someone strong enough to dig deep enough to put up with her until they break through.
Naomi is especially sweet when it comes to canines; after all, she was raised with them, and seems to have a special connection with the ones her family breeds. Not much has changed in this area really, except for the fact that she is a lot easier to get along with and her temper isn’t as bad. She is a lot more relaxed around people than she used to be…well…except for men. She hasn’t really gotten along with any men since Korvin left Trelis. So even though she might seem a lot friendlier, it isn’t a wise idea to mess with her, especially not if you are male. Now she can typically be found off by herself with her canines and wher either training, or just having fun with them. She tries to keep herself busy so she can keep her mind off topics that would make this usually strong woman, break down and cry.

Wher Handler
History:
Naomi's family have been hunters for generations upon generations. The same with her mother, only they were traders. The two of them had met when Naomi's father had gone to sell some pelts that he had hunted himself. Some say that love at first site isn't real, but it was for these too. Her parents had been together for two turns when Talyake got pregnant with Naomi. Naomi's father will be the first one to tell you that he had been hoping for a boy, but now he tells everyone that he wouldn't trade his daughter for all the sons in the world. Naomi's first babysitter was a large canine that would never let the young child out of her site, and even let Naomi take naps with her own pups. That's when her father realized that she was a natural born hunter. Naomi's mother had always wanted her to become a trader, but she had never found any enjoyment in that.
Naomi was happier whenever her father would take her with him, whenever he went hunting. She had a natural talent for the craft, and for working with the canines her father bred to help him hunt. So, when Naomi was seven years old, she was given permission to have the pick-of-the-litter. Naomi looked over every litter their dogs had, and it wasn't until she was fourteen years old that she finally found the pup that she wanted. She called that pup Ayame, the reason for this is that her mother had bred with a wild canine, and Ayame actually had a very wild streak when she was a pup. The two of them had a bond almost immediately when Naomi picked up the young pup for the first time, and looked into her light blue eyes. Naomi and Ayame have pretty much been inseparable since the day Ayame was old enough to leave her mother, and start training.
The young canine had the same knack for hunting that her owner did, and the two of them had have many successful hunts in their short four turns together. Though, they mainly hunted small game, they have been learning to hunt larger animals, and have already caught a few medium sized, wild felines. Naomi as allowed to pick another pup. Yet that wasn't until her father believed that she had trained Ayame well enough. She didn't have very many problems finding another pup to join her and Ayame. She picked another little female, and decided to name this one Akela. It didn't take Akela long to learn her place in the pack with Naomi and Ayame, but when she did, she also proved herself to be a very valuable asset during a hunt. She wasn't as quiet as Ayame, but she did prove to be more of a fierce hunter.
Naomi, her family, and their canines had stopped at Trelis to do some trading when a green rider had searched her out. She hadn't wanted to stay and become a candidate, but her parents had convinced her to stay, the deal breaker was that her parents, and the search rider, had said that she could keep Ayame with her, even if she impressed. Seeing as she didn't have to be separated from her best friend, she decided to stay, and is now waiting for her chance, on the sands. It wasn’t long before she had made a rival within the Weyr. He was a fellow hunter by the name of Korvin, and was the first male that she had ever met that had given her so much trouble. Not that long after the two of them met they had a…interesting…run in in the forests near the Weyr.
Naomi had been relaxing in the Wherhold when the other hunters dog, Gray, had come in barking like mad. She ran out to see what was done with the canine, and ended up following her into the forests where Korvin had gotten himself into some trouble. It had appeared as though he had slipped off the side of a small ledge and had gotten a large rock stuck on top of one of his arms. She had helped him get the rock off, and had even decided to help him get back to Trelis. Unfortunately for her fate had another idea, she had ended up injuring her ankle, which led to some very awkward moments for the two of them. They both tried to avoid each other as much as possible after they got back, but once again fate had to step in and make things awkward between the two of them.
Naomi had been enjoying some wine during the spring gather when Korvin appeared out of nowhere, drunk. He apparently had had too much to drink and appeared to be off his rocker. Either way one thing led to another and after quite a few more drinks the two of them ended up on the dance floor with Korvin holding her off of her sore foot, and the two of them shared their first dance. After that she doesn’t really remember what happened, but she does remember waking up to see someone leaving her room, and later finding out that it was Korvin. Needless to say things between the two of them didn’t get any better, instead they only got worse. She had found herself avoiding lessons just to avoid him. She wasn’t even at the Weyr a full season before she had her first chance to impress. To say that she hadn’t been nervous would be a lie, even though she might have looked extremely calm as she stood before the female whers, waiting to see if one of their eggs would be for her, she was as nervous as a pup leaving its mother for the first time.
Wish Posted:
For Naomi
It was her egg that hatched first, the medium sized oval cracking open with a sudden wooshing mess. A blue head popped out then, a body following. Shaking itself, the wheret looked up at Naomi, and wagged his tail. Well, well, well, fiddly-dinks and wherry-poppers! What did he have here? The blue sniffed Naomi's shoe, crooning happily. Shoes, shoes, lovely shoes! Running around the hunter's legs, the blue finally skidded to a stop and tilted his head.
What was that he heard? Oh, nothing. He looked back up at Naomi again, jumping into her mind with a gleeful squeal. Naomi inte...inter....cool! Naomi cool! Naomi's...hmmm...Naomi know Nask's name? Nask not know Na...oh. Nask know Nask's name now! Chirping, the blue scrambled up Naomi's leg and gurgled like a baby. Well...he was a baby.

Naomi wasn’t exactly sure what to do when everything seemed to come crashing down around her. Everyone started fighting each other, and Thread started falling. Then, to top it all off, the man she was finally starting to fall in love with left without saying a word to her. She isn’t sure why he left, or if it was because of her, but she does know that if it hadn’t been for her wher she probably wouldn’t still be moving. Nask has kept Naomi from sinking into herself like she has wanted to do ever since Korvin left the Weyr to go live in the wilds. Her life as a wher handler hasn’t exactly been easy for her either. She has had to participate in more than one wher run that she has wanted NOTHING to do with, and has had to sleep with more than one person because of her wher as well.
It isn’t that Naomi blames Nask for what has happened; instead she couldn’t be happier with him. She wouldn’t change the blue wher for anything anyone on Pern could offer her. She loves her wher, and there is nothing that can change it. To say her life has been hard would be an understatement. Despite all the runs and consequences that come along with them, she’s had a pretty hard time being a wher handler. Everyone is trying to make her pick a side, and all she wants to do is stay out of it. But because of the constant pressure that she has been under, she has decided to act as a wher spy for the Rebellion, and even though all she wants to do is leave the place where she has experienced so much pain, she just can’t bring herself to do it. So instead her and Nask have been working as hard as they can to get as much information to the Rebellion without getting caught.
From Wish:
The blue was still acting like a downright stick in the mud when he stumbled across a girl who had snuck down to the sands. Amusement flickered across his gaze as he narrowed his eyes at her, his head turning around to inspect the other candidates. Well now, perhaps this little thief in the night should be dragged out into the light, yes? Snickering to himself the pale creature darted into the shadows and grabbed hold of Dalia's sleeve, the girl crying out despite herself. She was dragged across the sands, the side of her body hitting the floor scrapping and drawing little pricks of blood.
Finally the blue dropped her, a triumphant growl coming from his jaws as he nudged her to her feet. Well, well, well he had a play thing! The largest egg left however took away from his spotlight, recieving a hiss from the smaller wheret. The aged bronze hide of the newest baby shone lightly in the firelight, his wings struggling to spread apart from his back despite the sticky egg goo. Yawning he surveyed those around him and hissed. Who were they to stand when they should crawl before him? He was a King, the mightiest here!
Darting forward he took a hold of Naomi and shook her, pushing her to the ground and scratching her legs. The smell however wasn't right, it wasn't nearly good enough. No, he needed someone like himself. Snapping his head around he seemed to put a smirk on his draconic mouth and stalked over to Korvin. The King stopped short, looking at the young man and then just as quickly as he had moved before, he stuck at his arm, biting the appendage none to gently, but still nothing bad enough to cause the loss of limb or finger. Well, not if the boy was smart enough to stay still.
Korvin'sKorvisk pay attention. Korvisk rule, others follow. Others weak, Korvisk strong. Korvisk be best, no weak partner. Understand, yes?
The blue watched the ongoing impression, a cold and detached look in his eye as he growled at his candidate to stay where she was. Oh yes, he had already chosen, he just had not told her yet. Instead he turned his head to the last egg to hatch, a little egg though not anywhere as small as Msk or Bellask's. It was still the home of a Green though, the wheret delicately blinking as she looked around. Instantly her eyes settled on the Bronze. How dare he try and harm others, violence was unnecessary! Flicking her tail, because such a lady would never, ever hiss or snap, she sniffed at the air.
Blood. Her eyes followed her nose, finally settling on the wounded girl. Oh poor dear! Padding over the green nuzzled Naomi's side gently, her tongue lapping at the wound and then nuzzling her again.
Naosk make Naomi better. Naosk be here.
Her gentle voice made the blue snort and shake his head, the pale wheret rounding on his candidate and nipping at her arm.
All stupid, Dalisk say so, so must be.

It’s been two turns since all of that though, and now that things seemed to have settled down, Naomi has been keeping closer to Trelis for the simple fact that she feels no need to be gathering information for the Rebellion. No, now she just takes care of her two whers, and her dog, which is a full-time job in and of its self. Naosk makes things a little easier, but Nask hasn’t really changed all that much as he grew up, Sarabi hasn’t really changed much either, though now she is the sole canine of the group. Naomi’s last canine, Akela, had died of old age last winter, and Naomi just hasn’t gotten herself up to getting another canine.
Craft:
Hunting
Strengths:
Felines, large animals, tracking, small animals, group hunting, and crossbows.
Weaknesses:
Weapon making, tanning, snares
Sarabi
Name:
Sarabi
Pronunciation:
Sah - Ra - Be
Age:
7 Turns
Type:
Canine
Size:
Medium-Large
Personality:
Cool, calm, collected in most situations, proud and loving, doesn't like to bend for anyone, though she does so in stern, not physical, rebellion, courageous, does not show fear.
Appearance:
At first glance, this girl doesn't seem to be too feminine. With a heavy build, not to mention the fact she is the largest pup in the littler, one would assume she was actually male, if not for the pink ribbon around her neck. Though she will retain her heavy build through her life, she will grow into a graceful and obviously female canine. Even at her young age she moves with a grace and dignity that is beyond her years. She will be better at group hunting and tracking than at solo work.
Nask
Name:
Nask
Pronunciation:
Nask {Kinda like Nat, but instead of the t sound, there's an sk sound.}
Age:
7 Turns
Type:
Wher
Rank:
Blue
Size:
5.4ft
Color Codes:
709AD1
Appearance:
Nask is on the larger end of his color, buy my no means the largest out there. He's a solid blue in color, and looks pretty normal. He has very large paws, but in no way do they ever get in this energetic wher's way. He always has this curious look in his eyes, it almost seems as though everything he sees is something new, even if it's something he's seen a hundred times.
Personality:
Nask is random, fun-loving, inquisitive, childish, forgetful, and likes to run. These things haven’t changed much, except for the fact that he is a lot less forgetful now than he used to be. He is also very protective of Naomi and will not, for the life of him, let her out of his sites. Where she goes, he goes, whether or not she likes it. He learned this habit from Akela, and so far, shows no signs of changing it either. Even though he doesn’t let Naomi out of his site, he is still a very random wher. He can be talking about one thing one moment, and then a completely different thing the next second! It is quite hard for him to have a real conversation with anyone, but that doesn’t stop this large blue from trying. He has also gotten better at keeping his nose out of places it doesn't belong, which is a blessing for Naomi.
Mind-Voice:
Nask's Naomi run, Nask like run!
Nask's voice is very sweet, but a little confusing to listen to. He will sometimes repeat things he knows as though he doesn't actually now them, and is almost always asking questions.
Naosk
Name:
Naosk
Pronunciation:
n - A - O - sk
Age:
3 Turn
Type:
Wher
Rank:
Green
Size:
4ft.
Color Codes:
Body: 8ED7A3
Markings: 1D502C
Appearance:
Naosk as a typical greens proportions for a wher of her size. She is about as small as a green wher can get, and with a lot of help from her handler, has learned to use that to her advantage in many situations. She is a mint green in color with darker forest green markings. Her proportions might be typical, but there is nothing really typical about this little female. Upon first impression she seems very delicate and feminine, but underneath that delicate appearance is a wher that was raised to be as hard-working as any green wher could possibly be trained for. There are strong muscles hidden beneath her mint green hide that would surprise all but the most unshakable.
Personality:
Naosk is always soft spoken and NEVER snaps or hisses at anyone or about anything. This is something that isn't all that common for a green, but it is also something that Naomi is rather proud of. She really is a pacifist who would rather talk things through in a calm manner than dive head-first into a fight with someone, though this will change when she is getting ready for a Run. She is a very outdoorsy green who absolutely loves EVERYTHING about nature. She may have the attention span of a gnat but once someone can get her to pay attention and concentrate she can complete just about anything set before her.
Mind-Voice:
Naosk here to help.
Naosk’s voice might be a bit bright but it is a soft brightness that tends to give others the feeling of waking up in the morning with sunlight trickling through their windows. It is a gentle voice that reminds some people of a doting mother.
