Noraali looked at the door in front of her. Why was she here again? She could just leave it as it was. She could just... pretend it never happened. Chock it up to a night of excitement or some other sort of crap. But... she frowned. But what? Here she was standing at his door ready to apologize for pulling him in like that. Though, honestly, it had been K'ien she had been hoping for anyways. She sucked at this. She definitely had a hard time understanding these sorts of things. Or... was it just dealing with her own... mistakes? No. It wasn't. That was the answer. It was because she genuinely liked him. Now... She didn't know how he felt about her or how that night had influenced his thoughts.... but.... if his reaction had been anything to go by.... he didn't hate her. Maybe he even cared aout her a bit... she was just getting to know him though... But perhaps...
Are you going to knock or stand there like a wherry-brained idiot all day? Her dragon was exasperated. She thought her rider was being foolish. A flight had always been good enough - and a good enough excuse before. But these days, Noraali was wanting something more and her dragon found it rather exasperating. You make a better queen when you aren't pining.
Noraali frowned. I am not pining. Her dragon just snorted. You are very much pining. Now either knock or get back to doing those duties that are still on you list. I thought you put them aside for something important.
Noraali grit her teeth. That's because I dod! she snapped back at the gold, finally knocking on the door. They hadn't had much chance to talk in the few days before now. She waited quietly and patiently for him to open the door.

K’ien currently sat on the floor of his weyr, nestled between the gigantic paws of his beloved Hyorinmarth. A multitude of records lay scattered at his feet. He had been trying, for the better part of two days now, to set up the searchriders rotation that came out of his wing. With the Queens flight over, there would soon be eggs on the sands and that meant candidates. And it just so happened that his wing was due to be hit up next for available riders. What are you doing? “Shuffling the wing around. The same thing I’ve been doing all day now.” K’ien muttered in response, not even bothering to look up as he made a few notes on the parchment in his lap.
No, I mean, what are you doing, K’ienMine? You have not left your room in two days. The bronze sent a wave of hot air to wash over the man and succeeded in sending some of the records scattering. “Hey! Knock it off, Hyorinmarth! I’m busy here!” Scowling, K’ien climbed to his feet and went around the room, collecting the many pieces of parchment. Damn dragon, now everything was out of order and he was going to have to start it all from the beginning. “And stay out of my private thoughts…you know better.”
The bronze snorted before curling into himself and resting his head on his paws. I know you better than you think. You would do well to remember that. K’ien growled as strode across the room to his desk and tossed the records down. That dragon didn’t know what he was talking about. It was a flight. Now they had their own duties to take care of. It’s not as though they were intentionally avoiding each other, right? But before he could continue any further with that depressing train of thought, there was a knock at his door. He pulled a face. That was odd. Usually no one disturbed him in his room unless he had missed a meeting. K’ien paused in reaching for the door handle. Had he missed a meeting?
Safe to say when he finally opened the door he was surprised, albeit pleasantly surprised, to see Noraali standing there. But in a matter of moments a look of pure dread crossed his face. He had to have missed a meeting and now the actual Weyrwoman was here to drag his ass down there herself! Not that he was even prepared to leave. For one his hair was a mess and his shirt was unbuttoned and wrinkled all to hell. “Did I miss another meeting?!”

It took him a bit. She wondered if he was alright. Or if hew was even there. But she smiled when he opened the door. But his reaction. Well.... that wasn't what she had been expecting. But okay. She couldn't help it as she started laughing. "No, K'ien. You have not missed a meeting. Not that I have lead at least." She fidgeted uncomfortably, blushing. "Do you mind if I come in?" she asked him. She was tempted to reach out and try to show him why she was here ,but that really wouldn't be a good thing nor would it be conducive to what she wanted.
This is pathetic. Why not just tell him? What is with you humans and all this.... dodging. I could just tell him! Her heart jumped at that. Don't you dare! she mentally snapped as he heart rate picked up a bit. She winced slightly. "Sorry.... Ehtyriath is in one of her moods today." She smiled apologetically at him. She felt so awkward standing here in front of him... but they needed to talk. She knew they did.
Ugh! He isn't even presentable yet! the dragon said, seeing him through her rider's eyes. The perfectionist of a queen could be such a nuisance at times. And this time was one of them.
He looks just fine! Perhaps perfect in his own way! Now hush you!
"Look... about... um... what happened..." she started, unsteadily. "I don't regret it being you. But... I don't really know you.... and... I mean... it is just... with...." She stumbled over her own words adn felt her blush become even brighter. She didn't know how to get this out. She hoped he understood.

He frowned as she laughed at him but still stepped out of the doorway to allow her space to enter. “Sure, come on in. Sorry for the mess, I wasn’t really expecting any visitors…” Shutting the door behind her, K’ien quickly moved to smooth down his wayward hair and fix his shirt as his gaze quickly swept over his weyr. Okay so it wasn’t a total disaster. There was a pile of discarded shirts sitting on the floor near the foot of his bed, his desk was absolutely covered with loose records and discarded mugs of klah, and a pair of muddy boots were laying haphazardly near the door. If you somehow managed to look past all that, then the room wasn’t half bad.
As she finally began to say what it was it seemed she had come to say, K’ien couldn’t help but find himself cocking his head and raising a brow at her words. Oh K’ien, understanding women was just not your strong point was it? So she didn’t regret sleeping with him but…at the same time she did? He scratched the stubble along his jaw as she continued to stumble over her words, all the while taking note of how red her cheeks were becoming. Say something, you are staring.
Clearing his throat, K’ien shot his dragon a silent glare before turning back to her. Truth be told he didn’t have a clue what she was trying to tell him, but now he had the chance to say what was on his mind and he had a feeling the two of them might have been on the same page. “Hey I’m sorry if things have become awkward between us for some reason now but you were the one who sought me out after the junior leaders flight. You didn’t have to, you already had a rider begging you to take him to bed. Now I would love the chance to get to know you better, but…a flight is one thing. I can’t share.” Well that kind of just spilled out at him. It wasn’t really what he planned to say but there you go, blunt and rather to the point. Nicely done. Shut up.

Oh! Mine! OUT WITH IT! The gold said irritably. This stumbling with one's words was just so... so improper!
Noraali swallowed and stared at him. Umm.... he wasn't saying anything. Okay... Maybe he did regret having that night with her....? She fidgeted sligthly under his gaze. When he spoke she let out a sigh of relief and turned more red. She laughed slightly in relief. Oh Faranth. Thank goodness.
Lacking in tact, but too the point. I like that. No stumbling. He gets that. Noraali pushed her dragon's words aside as she spoke up. "I was trying to say.... I... Don't regret it being you. I just wish It hadn't been both of you. I'm not going to make you share... I'm not like that." She wasn't. Well... she didn't want to be and didn't think she was. Never having a real relationship in the past sixteen years sorta put a bit of a bit of a hamper on saying she wasn't. She had just been.... flight sexual mostly. But she had been wanting something more real for... a long time. And.. she liked K'ien.
She took a step towards him, not sure what to do. Sure she noticed the general mess of the room, but it wasn't like he was a man with time on his hands. None of her Wingleaders or Wingseconds were. She kept them busy enough.
She looked at him there. "Sorry... for avoiding you the past couple of days." She rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment, her cheeks still quite red and flushed.

K’ien released the breath he hadn’t realized he had been holding, waiting for her response. Shards and shells! Why couldn’t she have just come out with that from the beginning? Women! He ran a quick hand through his hair out of habit. From the far corner of the room, a rumble of amusement could be heard from the large bronze. Well now that she was here he really wished he had been prepared for this visit. “Would you ah…excuse me, for a moment?” Grinning sheepishly, he place a quick kiss on her cheek before moving to grab a clean shirt from the top of his dresser and heading for the small washroom to try and make himself look, somewhat, presentable. Or, at least, make it so he didn’t smell like he had been sitting next to a dragon for the good part of two days.
He tried to work fast. Ripping the old shirt off, he tossed it to the side, before splashing his face with cold water, drying off, and quickly buttoning up the clean tunic. Feeling much better now he walked over to his desk, a small shrug rolling off his shoulders. “Don’t worry about it. Truthfully, I’ve been cooped up here for the better part of two days working out the new rotation for my wing. Plus, I figured you had bigger things to deal with around here than worrying about running into me in the halls.” After straightening up the mess of records and putting all the mugs together and off to one side of the desk, K’ien turned back to look at her and trying his best not to look guilty. “How are you feeling today anyway?” Farnanth knows he was still somewhat sore from their last meeting, his shoulder still had a giant knot in it he hadn’t been able to work out. So he figured she had to have been still hurting herself. Either that or she was a lot tougher then she looked.

She smiled at him, feeling her heart jump a bit at the slight contact of his lips against her cheek. She felt like a young girl at that moment. Feeling sort of bubbly. She certainly was still sore, though. She jsut tried not to let it show. She watched him go to clean himself. He did smell... he definitely hadn't bathed in the last couple of days. They would probably have to fix that. She leaned against the edge of his desk adn waited for him. When he emerged she gave him a smile. He was handsome either way.
"Well.... seems I didn't have much better to do since I was avoiding yo uteh past two days." She said, watching him quietly as he straightened up. Hmm... she wondered if his room usually was a mess like this or if it was just over the past couple of days he had let it get like this? She shrugged. "Honestly... I hurt like hell..." She said, giving him a rueful smile. "It's a little hard to walk straight." She winced a bit as she straightened up and walked over to him. "how about we both go get a nice warm bath? That aught to help with the sore muscles.... and... I think you need one." She winked at him. "Not that I really mind. But I think Ehtyriath would have my head if I didn't say something." She grinned and reached out for him, tugging his arm. "Come on." She wasn't going to give him much of a choice here. "So... what have you come up with for your wing so far?" She asked him with a grin. Though there were definitely more interesting things to talk about.

“A bath sounds great! My back sure could use it…wait,” he paused frowning and pulled the collar of his shirt up over his nose to take a whiff. He tried not to pull a face at the smell. Alright, maybe he could use some freshening up. You could have said something earlier. K’ien reached out to his dragon even as he allowed himself to be led from him room. You seemed fine to me, K’ienMine. Course you would say that, it’s cause I probably smell like you! Sighing, K’ien made a mental note to give that dragon a bath as soon as possible.
He shrugged, scratching the back of his head as they turned a corner and headed down a flight of stairs that would take them to the lower caverns. “Oh, please let’s talk about something else. Anything else, really. I’ve been staring at those records for so long I’m going to be dreaming about schedules tonight.” It took them a few minutes more but before long they made it down to the lower caverns and, more importantly, the bathing pools. K’ien wasted absolutely no time, that warm water looked too inviting. So, first came the boots, which he kicked off to the side, and the rest of his clothes just kind of fell off and landed in a heap on the floor.
K’ien sighed in relief as he finally stepped into the water, submerging himself up to his neck. Yes, this was just what the healer ordered. “You coming?” He inquired as he glanced over at her before moving to sit in a shallower spot where he could lean his back against the side.
