As if hiding from them is going to make a difference. You're a queen! Carry yourself like one! This is certainly not acting like one. The dragoness gurmbled even as she landed beside the river, backwinging. It was well after midnight. Possibly later - moving into the next day. Hers had slept for a time, avoiding and shirking duties for one day. She could get away with it the day after a flight. But here she was. Trying to collect herself and her thoughts.... and avoid the two riders she had taken to her bed during that flight. She didn't want to know what they thought of her. She had ruined it. She had ruined her image here. Smeared it. This would never do. She needed to collect herself, get rid of the... what still hampered her and face them the next day as the Weyrwoman she was supposed to be.
Today she was just a woman. Just a woman who was frustrated and alone. Very alone. More so than usual. She had been avoiding people most of the evening, though only with marginal success. And that was, precisely, why she had come all the way down here in the middle of the night. She rather hoped no one would come down here and she hoped even more that no one would be going to her room this night. If they were they might be sorely disappointed to find her not there. In fact, she probably should have left some indication of where she was going. There would be little doubt that Ehtyriath would be fielding worries and questions if she was found not to be there.
She turned her eyes on to the water which gleamed slightly as the light hit it and watched it flow by, quiet. Very, very quiet, lost in her own thoughts.
Stop acting like a baby. You want something real - a relationship, then stop acting like a child and go get one! So what it was just flightlust for them! You don't know what could come of it! She frowned. "Shush." She told her dragon. She was thinking. She wasn't going to go after a man. And certainly not just any man. She was a woman who would rather prefer to be chased - like her gold was so often chased... figuratively speaking. A little - or rather a lot - differently, of course.

Granzth huffed at J'lan. Of course she didn't know what to do, J'lan. She is barely a Turn older than I am, and the daughter of a Hold, too. What you were thinking, I don't know.
I wasn't, Granzth. And she knew it. No wonder she just took me to her room and left. Besides... She was right. I don't want Galen to see me like this. J'lan sighed from where he sat on Granzth's harness, his hand now splinted and placed in a sling.
The two hovered in midair, J'lan unsure of where they should go. He had no wish to return to the Weyr right now, especially as it would mean facing Jisene and what he'd almost done. A headache was forming, and he rubbed at his forehead absentmindedly.
It was at that moment, however, that Granzth spotted Ehtyriath sat below them on the bank with Noraali, her rider. Curiosity filled him, and he banked towards them, calling softly to Ehtyriath.
May we join you, my Queen? My rider is feeling sorry for himself, and I for one cannot stand him when he is like this.
J'lan blinked at him, frowning. Granzth, come on. Had you thought that perhaps they would rather be alone themselves right now?
Which is why I asked. And besides, it is better than listening to you grouch around for the rest of the night.
J'lan had no answer to that, so he simply growled and went quiet.

The queen snorted. I would appreciate some company. Noraali is too busy fussing and worrying about supposed mistakes. The queen grumbled and shifted. I don't know that she will want to be bothered right now. She didn't add anything else. She was quiet watching herrider stare at the water.
Noraali didn't hear them at first, but eventually she looked up and saw the bronze. "No. Don't tell them to land." But it was too late and she already knew that so she braced herself for an incoming J'lan. He was nice enough. She was two years his senior. Didn't seem like it though. He had been through a lot in his life. Not that two Turns was much of a difference.
Ehtyriath moved over slightly so the bronze could lay beside her and gave him a soft croon.
((i sorry.... x.x short and not so good.... x.x))

Granzth rumbled his thanks deep in his throat as he landed, and J'lan glared silently at the back of his neck a moment before giving in and dismounting. He glanced over at Noraali, saw how unhappy she was, and sighed, not knowing what to say.
He hopped up onto Granzth's forepaw, leaning back against the thick, muscular leg as Granzth settled. Then our riders have something in common. It appears that many mistakes have been made of late. It does not happen often for J'lan, so it has a tendency to knock him around a little.
J'lan looked up at Granzth. What are you talking about, Granzth?
Just how our riders are both letting their mistakes weigh them down. Speak to her, J'lan. This heavy silence is oppressive, even for us dragons.
J'lan sighed, and rubbed the back of his head with his free hand. Easier said than done. 'The moon is beautiful tonight, don't you think, Noraali? It really lights up the water when it's like this.'
((S'ok. >.< We've all got stuff to do, lol!))
