Appearance:
SEXY
Iromineelmris is in rather good shape for a man of his age, mainly from his previous duties as a Journeyman Cook, and now his duties as a rider. He's constantly running around, making sure his dragon is taken care of, so he remains fairly slim. He's not muscular in any form of the word, but he's not fat and flabby, either. An average size, Iromineelmris, more commonly know as Iro, just seems to look like your ordinary Weyr worker.
However, due to his duties, he usually has a smattering of facial hair since he's always running around and doesn't have time to shave. His blond hair is also usually a bit longer than necessary, for the same reasons. Iromineelmris pulls off looking a bit disheveled rather well, though, so no one ever complains.
The rider does have scars lining his body, however, mainly from burns in the kitchens or from accidentally cutting himself while chopping meat, when he was a Cook, and now from incidents involving his dragon. He's not clumsy, these things just... happen, especially when you're a rider, running around trying to make sure everything is getting done.
Iromineelmris' one true distinguishing factor are his eyes, and not because they're a rather beautiful shade of dark blue. No, his eyes are usually red-rimmed from his addiction to fellis, unfortunately. In most every way he looks like an average man with an average job, but his fellis-addicted eyes do tend to stand out in a crowd.
Personality:
CRAZY
Iromineelmris is a bit of an odd-ball, truth be told. He's more out of the box, more outgoing, more energetic than most, and he is most certainly louder. The man seems to have no shame, and no pride, and will do… just about anything. A dare? No problem. Iro will do it, hands down. Many marks have changed hands trying to find something Iro won't try at least once… and probably twice, because the first time could have been a fluke.
Overall, the Cook is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He's helpful, kind, and sweet, and rarely gets angry. Iro always wants to help, but is often in the way. Thankfully, most of his time is spent with his dragon (where he actually knows what he's doing), so he doesn't cause too much chaos in the Weyr by running around trying to help people with tasks he has no idea how to perform.
Unfortunately, Iromineelmris has a severe addiction to fellis, and a day does not go by that he doesn't get high at least once. As a result, he is extraordinarily calm and peaceful, which pairs up just fine with his normal personality.
His outgoing behavior can get him into trouble sometimes. Iro lacks the brain-to-mouth filter that most people have, and will ask questions most people would know not to. Truly, the man has no shame and no pride. He also lacks common sense most of the time, which can also lead to trouble.
Iro does, above all (except fellis), love animals. Never Searched out as a Candidate, he took to adopting cats. While he loves all animals and pets equally, cats found a special place in his heart for some reason, and thus he keeps two of them as pets.
Though the man was previously envious of all dragon riders, the previous Cook doesn't let it show, since he does live in a Weyr, after all, and treats all riders as he would treat anyone else, if not a bit more curtly. After all, live and let live, right? And besides, he did Impress... eventually.
It's obvious that the man is addicted to fellis, especially to those who have used it before in healing, but Iro isn't open about his addiction like he is about nearly everything else. A man has a right to at least one secret (that's not so secret), right?

History:
SAD
Iromineelmris was born in Trelis Weyr to a Drudge named Tris. She died during labor, leaving him to be raised in the creche. He grew up calm and collected, with no real ambitions. He was never searched, and was shunted from place to place in the Weyr until he finally ended up in the kitchens, where he performed reasonably well, and that is where he stayed. At twelve turns, he was made an apprentice cook.
His life from the point where he was old enough to work was just that... work. He envied the Weyrbrats that were chosen for Candidacy, but he never was. At age twenty-five, when he became too old for candidacy, he gave up on that dream, and just focused on his work, trying hard to ignore the riders around him, envious of even the lowliest Dragonrider. After all, he had been made a Journeyman at twenty, so work was a bit more important now (kind of).
Throughout his life he adopted cats that he found. At twenty-five turns, he ended up with a cat he named Fennel. Every year since then, he's been hoping to find another cat so he can have kittens. He still envied Dragonriders, but not to the point that he used to. He was now able to make friends with them.
When things get too rough, however, he drowns himself in fellis and lies prone for hours and hours, which gets him a good swat from the some of the other cooks... but hey. Sometimes life sucks, and so he takes a good dose of fellis each and every day to keep himself from going insane.
Iromineelmris first started taking fellis when he sustained a particularly bad burn in the kitchens. The healers gave him a small dose, and from then on... he was hooked. Iro immediately became addicted, and started taking fellis each and every day, usually lacing his morning klah with it.
He first started "collecting" cats around the same time. With the addiction, he was even calmer than usual, and just found the cats piling up. He couldn't just abandon them, after all, so he took them in and tried to find them homes, but if he couldn't... he kept them. After all, he was lonely with all the work of being a cook, and liked having them around as companions. Many cats have been in and out of his life and chambers, though currently he has only Fennel, his first cat, and Rosemary, a kitten he found about half a turn ago.
The fellis and the cats both help him when life gets out of hand. Though calm, he often feels overwhelmed by the amount of work he has, and thus feels like his head is going to explode, which is why he loves fellis so much.
One fateful hatching, however, a Topaz hatchling, Saekath, called to him where he sat in the Stands, and he Impressed to her, at the age of thirty. Their Weyrlinghood passed reasonably unevenfully, and they soon joined the ranks of Wingriders. Though three turns have passed since Iro Impressed to Saekath, his dragon has yet to Rise.

Appearance:
Saekath is a large, somewhat bulky topaz. She will certainly outgrow her mother and father, and in fact she will most likely out grow most Topaz dragons on Pern. She carries herself like she knows she is not just a sub-queen, but an actual queen in her own right, and walks with a certain grace as well. Her wings are long, but not so much as to drag on the ground when she walks. She always holds her head high.
Her rustic orange hide color is not as bright orange as some hues that are seen on Topaz dragons, but her markings are distinctive and well formed. Pale Orange, so light that it looks like a burnt cream, sweeps across the top of her head and neck and curves under her jaw and down the front of her chest. It also rings around her legs before becoming a more orange, tan hue to her feet and mirrors similar markings on her tail. A blood orange is the most striking color if she were to be asked, and it lines the contours of her legs, neck and muzzle. A rustic orange, darker than the majority of her hide, glazes the top, outer portion of her wings.
Saekath's mannerisms in a word are “regal”. Another could easily be “dangerous.”She has a distinctly cat-like grace in the way that she moved, her shoulders rolling quietly and muscles rippling under shining hide. In every possible way she is a hunter, a predator, a beautiful warrior ready for battle and yet there is more. The Topaz Sub-Queen will never be one to back down either in her words or her actions, and it shows in the proud way she throws back her head or the relaxed ease she holds her body as if nothing in the world could make her on edge. When she does happen to become irritated though, Saekath will lash her tail like an agitated feline or scratch at the ground with her talons.
Personality:
Vain, stuck up, and a bit blood thirsty, she can be poised and collected. However, she is the queen of war in her own mind. She is a Topaz Queen. Unequaled. However, she holds a reverence for her mother and a larger one for her father. She is proud to be born to two dragons of war.
She is going to be handful, demanding perfection of her rider, though she doesn't feel overly confident in her perfection either and will push herself no matter what. She doesn't like to get her claws dirty, but she loves to watch others fight... especially if it's for her.
She is a lady of war for the most part, but she also has the capacity to be a good leader and a good healer to the hurt ... if she can make herself care enough to actually look out for them. Her caring is rather deeply hidden, but like some of her siblings, she has a tendency to idolize her father and mother.
She will generally get along with her sister Muhath and doll out justice for her. Inflicting punishment on the unjust is something that she takes pride in being able to do. She is a queen after all and waht is the function of a queen if not to keep some semblance of order in a Weyr? She sees herself as more than just a dragoness for baring clutches and takes her position very seriously.
