Motoki smiled as she walked through the Weyrbowl with her two firelizards, Korigain and Lunete. Now that she was living in Trelis Weyr they were all she had left of her family, and was actually starting to feel a little lonely. Lunete crooned softly, and nuzzled her spring and lime green muzzle against Motoki’s cheek, letting her human knew that she would always be there to make her happy and that she would never be alone as long as her and Korigain were there. Speaking of the large brown, Korigain was riding tall on Motoki’s right shoulder, taking in all the sights around him.
What you guys think of our new home huh? Motoki sat down in a place she hoped wouldn’t be in the way, but still had plenty of sunlight so that her firelizards could sun themselves if they wanted to, but they would still be well within her sight. Lunete chirped and flitted off of her shoulder to land on the ground in front of her. The large green spread her sea green wings, revealing her chartreuse colored wing markings. She crooned as she spread herself out on the ground, and relaxed, making Motoki laugh. Korigain shook his burly wood, and Peru brown head as he watched Lunete, electing to remain on Motoki’s shoulder for the time being.

Hatsya had been chattering and moving in a happy corkscrew motion through the air before his human, warbling away in quite a casual and undignified manner, but shards the firelizard was happy right then. The blue dipped lazily, soaring low enough to nearly drag one wingtip across the ground of the weyrbowl. In a sudden motion, however, the blue snapped up, back-winging hard and coming to a stand-still in the air so abruptly that Bahari walked right into him. Baha's chest connected with those wings. The firelizard tumbled down, and it was only because of the starcrafter's arms reaching out in an unthinking reflex that kept the flitt from tumbling right out of the sky. Hatsya chirped, as if annoyed that his Human had run into him before scaling one of his arms and taking a more proper perch on his shoulder.
There were others nearby, he shouldn't look so improper when others were about.
The others were, of course, the pair of firelizards that were about. Hatsya turned his whirling eyes in their direction, and naturally Bahari's own vision followed. The starcrafter had on a loose, sleeveless tunic, the lacing at his throat undone, matched with a pair of lighter pants. His mess of hair was knotted in a loose runner's tail and hanging over one of his shoulders (the one Hatsya wasn't on, thank you very much!). Bahari shrugged a bit, changing direction to head over towards the voice. "I beg your pardon, did you say you were new?"
Ah, yes, of course Baha was going to inquire all cordial and polite-like. The starcrafter matched the question with a welcoming enough smile, his head tilted slightly to one side as he looked at the seated girl and her two flitts.
"If you're new to Trelis, do you mind me asking where exactly you were before here?" Things were slow, and no one was talking about that sharding meeting enough, so Bahari would have to act amiable enough to get some sort of information from others, and perhaps some news outside of Trelis would satisfy his curiosity.

Motoki shook her head at her two firelizards, wondering what it was exactly that drove them to act the way they did. Oh well, she loved her firelizards, and was quite happy to keep them the way that they were. Korigain on the other hand, wouldn’t mind a little more maturity out of Lunete at times, but the fact that the brown put up with some of her more stressful habits proves just how patient he really is. Not all that unlike Korigain, Lunete would like the large male to be more adventurous, and more playful, but that doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon. So that brings us to the present, which it seems that no-one is really paying attention to, otherwise they would have noticed Bahari heading towards them long before they did.
Lunete chirped curiously when she finally noticed the two newcomers, and flew up to her perch on Motoki’s shoulder. Motoki smiled and climbed to her feet when she heard someone speaking to her. Um, yes, you did. There was a slight embarrassed blush to her cheeks as she spoke. She hadn’t realized that she had been overheard talking to her flitters. Her embarrassment didn’t last long though, for soon enough this new stranger had asked another question of her. I had lived in Apolla Hold with my parents, five older brothers, and two younger sisters. I’m Motoki by the way, and this is Korigain and this is Lunete. Nice to meet you. She held out her hand for him to shake, something she had learned was polite from her brothers.

Bahari didn't seem to mind that the girl had a bit of a flushed look to her, and the man certainly wasn't going to comment on something like it. He only smiled, forcing himself into a more relaxed state. Shards, he talked to Hatsya plenty of times, granted it was mostly in the confines of his workroom when he was charting out the skies on a parchment (and Hatsya did a fine job of nodding along, whether he understood what his human was saying or not). In Bahari's opinion firelizards were just as capable of listening, at least far more than other beasts, such as canines or bovines (but shards he could probably be caught talking to those too).
"Apolla?" Bahari nodded a bit, his eyebrows shooting up as the girl went on to list her number of siblings. "I--Did you have seven siblings? Shards, and I thought my meager number of two was something to be bothered about." Bahari shook his head a bit, grinning as he reached out to shake the offered hand firmly. "Very well met, Motoki, and to both Korigain and Lunete." He nodded to both flitts properly, trying his best not to smile a bit wider at the creatures. "I'm Bahari, and this is Hatsya." He motioned with a slight jerk of his head to the blue on his shoulder, who in turn made a point of sitting a little taller and giving out a satisfied chirp. "I've never been to Apolla, I just recently got back from working on my craft at Sollace, is it nice there?"

Kite was bored. Even though he spent most of the day with G'daro, he was still bored. He hadn't met a lot of the candidates yet and was nervous to talk to one. He noticed to other candidates having an introductory chat with each other. Nerugui gave a warble and flew towards the two. "Nerugui! Come back here!" Kite shouted and started to chase after him. Nerugui stopped in front of a certain green flitt and began to have a flitt's version of a introduction. Kite groaned and somehow tripped and accidentally slammed into the green's owner.
He went to the dusty ground and looked around. He saw the owner on the ground and his face grew beet red. "Oh Faranth! I am so sorry! My flitt was being obnoxious and I didn't see you and..." Kite began but stopped when he realized that there was someone right behind him, probably laughing his ass off. He turned and saw a boy, way older than he was, just standing there. His face broke into a sweat and he swore he thought he pissed his pants from embarrassment. This was not starting out well...

Motoki giggled slightly at the other candidate’s reaction to the amount of siblings she had. She was rather used to getting that reaction when people first found out that she had seven siblings. Yes, I have seven siblings, and at this time of year it gets pretty busy. What with the grape harvests coming in. She remembered being a young girl and getting all excited for the chance to eat some fresh grapes, picked only a few hours earlier. She also remembered her brothers sneaking off to go steal grapes and then trying to blame it on her. Korigain kept a close eye on the blue firelizard, not sure whether or not this other male really was as polite as he seemed.
The large brown had always made it his habit not to judge till he knew more about someone else. Lunete on the other hand, was more than ready to judge a ‘lizard by his hide, and so far Hatsya seemed really nice, like a ‘lizard she could get along with. The young green crooned sweetly, more than ready to have a little fun. Then she was yet again distracted when another firelizard showed up on the scene right in front of her. This one was an ebony male and had flown right up to her. Then everything pretty much went downhill from there. Korigain and Lunete took to the air squealing in surprise when suddenly something crashed into Motoki.
Motoki yelped and landed hard on her rear and back when someone ran into her. Owwwww… She groaned as she slowly sat up, feeling as though she had just been ran over by a panicked herdbeast. It’s alright, no need to be sorry. I’m quite used to being run over, I grew up with five older brothers. She smiled sweetly at this newcomer as she spoke, reaching up and letting both of her firelizards land on her shoulders, stroking both of them lightly, trying to calm them down as best she could. I’m Motoki, and these are my firelizards, Korigain, and Lunete, which I believe your little ebony has already introduced himself to. She giggled a little as she introduced herself and her firelizards.

"I can imagine." Bahari had opened his mouth, about to speak more on the topic, the words on the edge of his lips probably about to ask if the girl's family were farmers or vintners--either were likely with the mention of harvesting grapes, but it seemed that question would never be properly spoken for the hurtling interruption that came in the form of a young man bowling into the girl after chasing a firelizard. Hatsya had been in the process of warbling back a proper greeting to Lunete, dipping his head low and wiggling a bit but oh that was stopped short when the ebony appeared. Hatsya had a moment to look surprised before the proper flitt managed to piece back his dignity and look on with repressed shock and a touch of alarm.
His expression, funnily enough, seemed to mirror Bahari's.
The starcrafter wasn't laughing, just looking on more caught off guard that someone had come barreling through. His gaze lingered for a moment on Kite before he looked back at Motoki. She seemed to take the impact in stride and, shards, had even smiled after it all. "I'm going to guess there's no need for a healer, do you need a hand up?" Ah, then his attention was back on Kite and a small smile curved on Bahari's lips. "Is your flitt usually so lively?" Unruly was likely the term he was planning on using, but there was no need to be a braggart about things yet.
