"No problem, I'll meet you back here when you're done."
Okay, so maybe she had made a half way decent attempt at the beginnings of a friendship. If not that, then she had at least made it a bit easier for someone to get along here. Rikula knew first hand just how hard it could be to adjust to a new place, and though she did not have much patience for those that took too long making that transition, she did understand the need to point out similarities that people could cling to. Knowing that a place could offer a once wished for dream or a familiar activity, or even person she supposed, meant it was that much simpler to become one with your new home.
Silently she found she was wishing she had had such ease with her own transition, but she could not fault herself or anyone else for that. She had always been difficult, she still was and was quite proud of it too. Rikula did not need anyone to get along in the world, but part of her still wondered if it was a good thing to find some ally at least. She had Majoriith, but the gold was hers by bond and blood and destiny. Their lives could never be untwined, not unless they wanted to end both of their existences.
Leaning back against the newly oiled and cleaned dragoness, the goldrider let herself drift off while she waited, forcing herself to stop wondering about what-if's. Unfortunately, those had a habit of going back to a few select scenarios that she would do anything to not think about. It was easier sometimes to just be somewhere with little familiar to you, it meant it was easier to hide who you were...who you are. Chewing on a blade of long grass she had pilfered from the feeding pens, Rikula closed her eyes against the warm sun for a few moments before opening them and getting up to retrieve the things she had promised to bring.
